A fantastic summer music camp for the whole family! For those of you who haven't heard of Jam Camp North, please read the info below sent to us by Nancy Lilienweiss Music at the lovely setting of Cottonwood house where you can rent a cabin or bring your rv/trailer, what more could you ask for? Hot Showers? You bet, they've got them too! Make fantastic summer 2018 memories!
Know people who need a great reason to visit our beautiful region? Invite them to meet you at Jam Camp North, a fantastic all-ages music camp at beautiful Cottonwood House Historic Site between Quesnel and Wells July 29 - August 2. Camp ends before the August long weekend. No experience necessary - campers can be experienced players or musical newcomers. Jam Camp is great for multi-generational families and groups - our youngest camper so far this year is 5, and the oldest is 80 - and we have four teenagers this year as well. Three families of grandparents, adult children, and grandchildren are joining us at Jam Camp North so far this year. Make special memories with your kids, grandkids, or your friends. (Adults without kids are welcome too!) How does camp work? Learn or improve your singing, percussion (from a marimba expert), guitar, accordion playing, and more in small group lessons. Campers play music in small and large groups led by excellent musicians who can help beginners or long-time musicians. Camp is relaxed, creative, and fun. Activity breaks make sure you’ll have time to read, hike, play soccer or music, or enjoy the beautiful natural setting. In the evenings, enjoy performances, campfire singing, and jamming. Rent a cabin or bring your RV or tent. Cottonwood House has hot showers and an activity building where you can share the cooking facilities. Registrations are due July 1. Links below:
The camp fee is very low, so we can welcome as many interested people as possible. We are a registered BC non profit, and Jam Camps have been running in BC for over 15 years. We're the only one in the North, and the only one with hot showers! Campers can register now and wait to pay til July 1. Questions? You can email, PM me via the facebook page, or reach me in the evenings or on weekends at 250-992-6196. Thank you, Nancy Our remaining tickets sold out the day before our concert, on Friday May 25th. A huge thank-you to Save On Foods Quesnel and Quesnel Music for being ticket vendors for us this year. Having Save On Foods on board will make it even easier to get tickets for future concerts!

Bernice Heinzelman, from the QDCAC has asked us to pass this survey on to our members in hopes that everyone has time to fill out the survey!
You can see the information from the City of Quesnel's website here, or go straight to the survey through the button below. Please take the time to fill it out! As we are part of the QDCAC, we are often asked to share events that other community groups are holding in Quesnel.
